“I did it, Mommy!”  He gets so happy about climbing up that web thing.  He’s been able to do it for a while (over a year), but the excitement never fades!   I’ve been making and playing around with some “Matte” actions and think I’m in love with these two!  Can you tell the difference?  My husband can!

I am finally truly happy with the design I’ve come up with.  And to think all it took was buying a bathing suit and having the courage to get in it!  ; )  I got a beautiful suit in brown with polka-dots.  That got me excited enough to try it on.  It was hard, but once I was out on the beach with my family, building sand castles, I forgot about all my inhibitions and just had way too much fun!  Yeah, I ended up with a dreadful sunburn, but it was worth the blistering pain and the blisters that followed.

So yeah, back to my nifty bathing suit.  I’ve struggled so much with this blog’s design.  So much that I had just about given up.  Nothing felt right.  After all the logo designing and color combo madness I finally figured out that I should forget about what I *think* it should be and allow it to mirror what I already love.  I love brown and polka-dots, which is why I bought the suit.  I adore yellow because it reminds me of the sun, summer, childhood, and joy.  This design is very me.

And I even got my 2012 pricing up!  : o  Check it out; I’m especially excited about what’s on the last page of my pricing sheet!  : )

As I redesign my blog, I’m trying to catch up with posting so you will be seeing a lot from me in the next few weeks! : )

This day at the Birmingham Zoo was amazing.  The weather was beautiful and it was peaceful in a surreal way.  It seemed like every animal was out and about.  Here are just a few of my favorites, from lizards to lions!  : )

I had the priviledge of spending a couple days with some ‘photographriends’ a short while ago and had so much fun.  I hope we can do this again very soon!

Here is my son with his new lovely friend.  These kids did amazing being such good sports about letting them stalk them with our cameras.  They’re sitting in the center of an empty, fishless, pond.  Nothing worse than a dry pond on a hot summer day!  ; )

These were a spur of the moments thing and so much fun!  I was impressed by how cooperative he was.  : D

I loved this session and I love this age!  It’s probably my favorite stage of babyhood (Okay, I’m lying, I say the same thing about all stages of childhood!  LOL).  But this little princess had just learned to sit and balanced herself perfectly.  She’s still at the stage where she will flop over, so we had to be super careful and the pillar one is, of course, a composite image because we weren’t going to take that chance!  But she sat up the entire time for photos and didn’t wobble!  She really gave her very best performance.  : )

^She had just woken up here and woke to a camera in front of her face.  She just had the sweetest most curious look. 

This session just made me want another baby!  They are contagious, I tell you!    Here is my very first newborn session and I am so glad it was with a friend because it helped to calm my nerves!  She was absolutely precious!  More coming soon!

This is my big girl.  I nicknamed her Pumpkin as a baby and it stuck.  That’s practically her name…to me, anyways.  I just went crazy taking pictures of her.  She wanted to cut her hair and I made sure I got plenty of her with long hair, first!
